As a licensed occupational therapist for 30 years, a yoga teacher for 23 years, a certified personal trainer, and a Bone Fit™ Trainer, with an insatiable craving for research-based, continuing education, these classes are my joyful, passionate blending of years of accumulated knowledge and experience.

Both classes build mobility, balance, posture, and strength, paired with breath, intention, presence, joy, and community.
Strong practices for “navigating life’s currents and flourishing as we age.” You are WARMLY WELCOMED!

  • Sign up for FOUNDATIONS if you are NEW, have an injury, need less time on your wrists, or seek a beginner-friendly, gentle, yet effective fitness yoga class.

  • As a Bone Fit™ Trainer with the Osteoporosis Foundation, all classes are designed to be beneficial and safe for those with Osteopenia / Osteoporosis.

  • Classes are STRENGTH-CENTRIC, using body weight, longer holds, resistance bands and free weights to increase muscle strength.

  • Variations and modifications are demonstrated, and individualized instruction is provided.

  • Classes are appropriate for all who can easily get up and down from the floor.

Choose from Two Class Options:

rowingnorthFOUNDATIONS:
a beginner-friendly, gentle class to learn the basics of rowingnorthYOGA. Perfect if you are new or returning to fitness yoga, have an injury, or prefer a lighter, gentle class with a limited amount of weightbearing on the wrists.
* Each class is capped at 6 students to provide more individualized instruction.
* Sundays 9:30-10:45AM.

rowingnorthYOGA: a unique blending of elements from traditional yoga with rehab science and fitness practices. You’ll experience an athletic, functional slow flow rooted in the Ashtanga, Iyengar, and Bishnu Gosh lineages, infused with longer body-weight holds plus resistance bands for strengthening, mobility-stability body control, and balance exercises.
* Maximum of 14 students.
* Sundays, Tuesdays, Thursdays

SIGN-UP:

  • Pre-sign up online is required for all classes.

  • Sign-up closes 2 hours before class starts.

    CANCELLATION:

  • Payment fully refunded to your credit card, when you cancel >12 hours before class.
